Sponsor a Boat Building Class
Children at Aleut Culture camp in Cold Bay, AK learning how to build traditional baidarkas.
If you don't want to come to Alameda to build your boat or if you have a group that wants to learn how to build traditional kayaks at your site, contact me and I will come to you.
Sponsoring a class is less difficult than you might imagine. Any covered space or in summer, a lawn or any other flat space will do as a building site. In addition, I will need a place to sleep for the duration of the class. If you can come up with a minimum of 4 students, I will travel to your site.
Cost for the remote classes is $1400 per boat.
